BRYCHAN Suite Customer Reviews
“The whole suite is outstanding with everything you could want and more. The room is huge with a lovely sitting area that has a 50in flat screen TV with now tv free for movies on demand. There is a tassimo coffee maker and a mini fridge with fresh milk and a selection of drinks and wine. The bathroom was my dream space with a claw foot bath and separate shower. All the little touches in the room just make this a very special place to stay.... We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Room Tip: Book the suite it's worth the extra expense”
“We stayed for two nights at this B&B. The suite we stayed in was very "Classy" Every little detail was thought of, from little containers with lids that enclosed toffees or sweets. A bowl of fruit which contained Grapes, Oranges and apples was complements of the B&B which was very welcoming indeed after a long journey. A wonderful selection of tea, coffee and chocolate was on hand with the kettle and fresh milk. The huge comfy bed gave us both a great nights sleep. A wonderful breakfast was on hand every morning. Definitely book this B&B again.”
“...beautiful luxury bathroom with all that you need from bathrobes/slippers to a shower cap. Bath and walk in shower” (susandB7262LU)
“Spoil yourself by booking the suite. It's particularly comfortable and a real pleasure.” (Happy13)
“What a lovely place to stay.
Our room was comfortable and spacious and thoughtfully appointed, from the adaptable lighting to the fluffy bathrobes and fruit bowl and sweets in the room.”
“We booked the suite and whilst a bit more expensive than we would normally pay it was worth it. The room was large and very well decorated and appointed. It had a large bathroom with both bath and separate shower. There was a mini bar and fridge and fresh milk for coffee in the room which is always a nice touch. Lots of storage, a huge TV and a very comfy bed.”
“We stayed in the suite, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and really comfy and cosy. A lot of thought has gone into the planning of this room with amazing attention to detail: quality toiletries, a 'posh' coffee machine, fresh milk, fruit basket and even a jar of jelly beans! We arrived later than we expected but Marc was there in reception to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed including a list of restaurants in town for that evening. Breakfast was top notch, the welsh rarebit is a must, had to have it on both days! We will definitely be back”

History
BRYCHAN , saint ( fl. mid 5th cent. ) Brychan Brycheiniog was a legendary 5th-century king of Brycheiniog (Brecknockshire, alternatively Breconshire)
He was the son of Anlach , son of Coronac , an Irish prince and Marchell , daughter of Tewdrig , king of Garthmadryn . At her father's bidding, Marchell had crossed to Ireland , where Anlach wedded her, and where too Brychan was born. Anlach then returned with his wife and son to Wales , and set up their home at Benni (probably the ancient ‘ Bannium ’ near Brecon ). The education of their son was entrusted to one Drichan . Some years later, Brychan was given by his father as a hostage to Benadel , king of Powys , whose daughter Banadlinet was violated by Brychan and gave birth to a son named Cynog . Brychaneventually succeeded to the kingdom of Garthmadryn , which was then renamed Brycheiniog . According to Christian tradition, Brychan was married three times –and had a very large family. The number of children attributed to him varies from twelve to sixty-three, the number most frequently encountered being twenty-four sons and twenty four daughters.
6 April is generally quoted as his feast day.
